Network Administrator/Engineer

Description

• Design, implementation and support of network infrastructure including firewalls, routers and switches
• Policy creation, management and documentation regarding remote user connectivity (VPNs, VPN tunnels)
• Configure/setup, maintain and troubleshoot internal servers automation of redundant processes
• Application and operating system tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Participate in infrastructure and capacity planning
• Provide technical support to project team members with assistance from existing technical support
• Installation of new Networking Equipment, Servers and Desktops/Laptops
• Provide solutions and work closely with helpdesk support staff to support day to day activities
• Perform routine server updates/patching and software deployments
• Recommend and implement modifications to the server environment, including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware
• Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Develop and document new project requirements, specs and development schedules
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Problem Solving and Trouble shooting as necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in area of specialty
• At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Close attention to detail and ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Creative and proactive
• Knowledge of Intranet and Internet Applications
• Strong initiative and the ability to work independently
• Great Problem Solving Skills
• Self starter/learner who can work independently and not get blocked, who is driven to solve problems
• Experience with Windows Enterprise, Clustering and Failover
• Ability to configure a VPN
• SQL Server, IIS Installation and tuning, and SQL replication experience
• Windows MCSE Certified
• Cisco Certified
• SAN Experience a plus
