Senior Publishing Project Manager - Architext Division - Andover, MA
- Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all aspects of project coordination (scheduling, trafficking, and management of all data, personnel, and resources) from hand-off through project completion to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery
- Oversees/manages all scheduling, costs, workflow, and resources
- Contracts, coordinates, and supervises vendors (translators, editors, proofreaders, compositors) on multiple books or media products in a variety of disciplines .
- Assigns tasks delegating responsibilities as needed per project
- Monitors and maintains quality through checkpoint systems
- Monitors content prep for a comprehensive presentation of the project and its guidelines at project start
- Serves as primary Client liaison from project kickoff through completion
- Completes administrative tasks including weekly invoicing, P&L tracking and updating, status tracking, PO creation and approval, etc.
- Aid Sales/Client Services in proposal preparation as needed
- Required Skills:
- 2-5 years Project Management experience, within a book publishing environment preferably
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage various diverse projects and personnel
- Ability to prioritize activities on a daily basis to accomplish project goals effectively and efficiently
- Ability to generate and maintain budgets and schedules
- Superior writing and communication skills within a professional context
- Strong computer skills; experience with standard translation management tools a plus but not required
- K-12 classroom teaching and/or curriculum development experience a plus but not required
- Fluency in a second language or any level of linguistic skills (Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, German, Thai, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian especially) strongly preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of InDesign, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat, HTML preferred but not required
- Familiarity with MS Office applications
